Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama said Jakarta Provincial Government will get involve for Istiqlal Mosque, Central Jakarta. There is a presidential decree manages this involvement.

Muzammil Basyuni, Istiqlal Management Board Head, stated city administration role is important to maintain the mosque. It is aimed to keep being visited by tourist.
